Back to School!

As the summer comes to an end, so comes the eventual dread of going back to school…

…the homework, schedules, tests, school lunches…

I could go on!

But there is a lot to love about the upcoming school season: shopping for new school supplies, cute outfits, and of course, hanging out with my friends!

And to make all of the teachers and boring assignments bearable, I’ve found that you can make school effortless and cool with just a few things.

First, you need to survive school with a good pair of headphones. How else can you block out all of that unnecessary blah blah blah? This makes studying 100% easier and faster, which gives me more time to practice my singing (and time for some much needed fun!).

The second thing you need is a must for any student who has a crazy schedule and life like me: a cute planner/organizer! It sounds simple, because it is. Pretty much any calendar or planner can be found on your smartphones or iPads and such, but using an old-school planner makes it so so much easier for me to plan all of my school assignments and tests with all of my singing, modeling, and acting events. I’m not Wonder Woman, but a cute planner (like this one) makes me feel unstoppable with all of the things I can do!

There are so many other things you can do to prep for school, but I would be writing a novel instead of a blog post! So I will impart just one more piece of advice: EAT BREAKFAST!

That’s right, you heard me! You need a good, nutritious and filling breakfast to start the day. When the teacher starts talking about algorithms and algebraic equations, you’ll thank me that you’re not going to pass out of hunger or fatigue. Breakfast is the key to staying on top, being focused, and ready for anything that comes your way!

Let’s be honest, who isn’t cranky when they haven’t eaten? Just grab some toast, a granola bar, a cup of yogurt, anything to put in your system. These are great if you’re on the go (or if you really just hit snooze a dozen of times and you’re gonna miss the bus) but I like to opt for something substantial. A favorite is some fresh fruit with yogurt, maybe a yummy slice of avocado toast and a small cup of coffee or tea.

No matter what you feel about school, it’s still a place to learn and have fun with friends! So stay focused, organized, and full!
